The following drugs are illegal in Australia:
- Cannabis, including some synthetic cannabinoids
- Ecstasy (MDMA)
- GHB (gamma hydroxybutyrate)
- LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide)
- PCP (phencyclidine)
- PMA (paramethoxyamphetamine) and PMMA (paramethoxymethamphetamine).
Possessing, using, making or selling them, or driving under their influence come with very strict penalties. This penalties, depending on the severity of the drug-related activity, include fines, good behavior sentences, a criminal record or jail time!! The law is strict in Australia when it comes to drugs and you don’t want to be messing with it!!
